One page parallax template based on the Bootstrap framework. Worked closely with the client over 3-5 day period creating a responsive portfolio site. Defining a tone and visual harmony with tints of the accent colour across the site and made for a very harmonious design. Stock photography was made more visually appealing by cropping and re-working where necessary. By iterating rapidly and trying out different content layouts the overall site delivered feels well thought through, slick and modern.

As Lead Designer I was tasked with creating a new website for Penguin offering London Underground passengers access to free book extracts and author interviews as part of a campaign to celebrate its 80th birthday.
Throughout the month of August, users could read exclusive excerpts from novels, as well as author interviews and audio content at summerofpenguin.com. The site was launched in partnership with TfL and Virgin Media.
New content was added daily but some of the content highlights were an extract from Nick Hornby's book Funny Girl and one from Stephen Fry's forthcoming memoir More Fool Me. There was also a page of notes from one of Raymond Chandler's notebooks.
The colours chosen loosely reference different Tube lines and the icons to accompany each extract were designed by Rob Lowe. At the end of each excerpt is a cover shot of the book and a link to buy the publication online.
My responsibilities also included Art Directing marketing collateral across the Virgin Media Wi-Fi portal and the TfL Plan a Journey page.

I worked on the launch of a YouTube channel for the Happy Foodie brand to bring together video content that existed on disparate channels and grow a YouTube subscriber list. Focusing on bringing to life the recipes from the amazing celebrity chefs that are featured, the subscriber list subsequently increased by 2000 followers in less than six weeks.

Designed and produced a new site for Christopher Fowler - an author who has been manically blogging for years and has picked up an engaged following along the way. The new site needed to be more user friendly and rank higher for SEO.
Since launch, Christopher's new mobile responsive site is attracting an average of 500 unique visitors per day with little or no marketing support.
